The college’s new principal received office on the 1st August, 2022 from the former principal Mr. Basadha David Waigulo who served from July 2020 to August, 2022 and left due to mandatory retirement.
Mr. Lot Pario mentioned that he comes as a replacement/substitute in a game to join the existing team, to carry the game forward, with hopes of a better finish with God as the guide and provider.
He promised to hinged on the pillars of;
Among the tasks ahead of Mr. lot is to conduct the 7th Graduation Ceremony of the college which was scheduled on the 14th October, 2022 for students who completed Diploma in Education Secondary 2019 to 2020 and Diploma in Education Primary 2020.
The principal picked on from this point yet with the addition of the transition of National Teachers’ Colleges (NTCs) from Diploma awarding to Degree awarding institution. This is in respect to the Teacher Policy 2019 under Uganda National Institutes for Teachers Education (UNITE). Proactive thinking and innovative leadership and management from all would be needed.
His background
Mr. Pario joined the race from a humble background of being a School Practice Officer in National Teachers College Muni, a Substantive Deputy Principal NTCs, with National Teachers’ College Mubende as the last duty station.
He comes with a wealth of experience and interest in Institutional Management and Governance, having passed through the hands of quite a number of mentors for the last 25 years in the teaching service, with 11 of these in, but not limited to NTCs.
He has been a Chairperson Board of Governors, PTA etc In various institutions.
Besides an interest in professional development, he is pursuing a PhD from Gulu University to attain his highest qualification and hold a Masters in Human Resource Management in Education.
